Calm Down

(Group Work Exhibition) 2024.02

Let’s calm down.

This is a small game we use to recreate an overseas student living alone in London. This is a group assignment for class that my friends and I did. In this project, I was mainly responsible for the visual aspects.

Background

As an international student living alone in a studio in London, due to course pressure and mental pressure, it is easy for me to have bad mood swings due to small things. The screeching sound of ambulances outside the window, fire alarm tests every few days, sound insulation issues, and bad weather can all put a damper on our mood.

Concept:

This is a small game that simulates the life of an overseas student living alone. In the game, the player needs to control the protagonist to perform some interactive actions with objects on the screen to help the protagonist control his emotions.

Rules

Players will interact with different objects while playing the game. Choosing to interact with different objects when specific events occur will result in different emotional changes for the character. Try to control your emotions in a calm state. The longer you play in the game, the better the player becomes a winner. Mouse clicks control character movement and interaction with objects.
